Representation For All Matters Arising In The Hospitality Industry

At Linnan & Associates, we represent people who are in any business that is regulated by the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA). We assist our clients in obtaining licenses to sell alcoholic beverages in restaurants, taverns, clubs and liquor stores. In addition, we assist clients who are purchasing or selling businesses that have liquor licenses, and in defending licensees who have had the misfortune of receiving a notice of violation from the SLA. The State Liquor Authority rules and laws are very complex and filled with nuances and roadblocks. We have more than 60 years of experience and are proficient at handling State Liquor Authority matters.

Linnan & Associates has worked in conjunction with the Empire State Restaurant & Tavern Association to draft legislation to help members of this industry. Our legal team has also represented numerous licensees in the application process, in defending disciplinary charges brought by the State Liquor Authority and in defending liquor liability litigation (also called dram shop). We represent clients in Albany, Cooperstown, Oneonta, Glens Falls, Hudson, Catskill and throughout New York in a range of legal matters that arise in the hospitality industry, including:
